Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Club

The Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Club will again sponsor FREE Footskills Clinics at Waterworks Park every Thursday for the next month.

The first clinic will be this Thursday, April 19th at Waterworks Park starting at 5:30pm and continuing to 8:30pm.

To better serve our players and maintain the best quality training, we plan to split the sessions into age appropriate groups.

5:30-6:30pm  U8 Players
6:30-7:30pm  U10 Players
7:30-8:30pm  GAASA Players

We intend to build on the footskills learned every week, so expect something different at every session.

Please bring a ball and something to drink.

We understand schedules may not allow attendance at the designated times.  Please join any session or time available, but remember some techniques may be difficult for younger players or repetitive for older players if not in their age group.

The Parks and Recreation Department would like to remind the members of the Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Club that parking is not allowed in the grass at Waterworks, especially by the U8 fields.

There are signs posted ‘No Parking on Grass’ at various locations and the ‘No Parking’ ban will be enforced if parents continue to park on the grass.

Also, please remember the roads leading to the back of Waterworks (toward the softball fields) are for traffic.  No stopping, parking or watching the games or practices from the road.  Be respectful of others and obey the laws of the road to prevent any accidents or unsafe situations.

Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Club Appreciation Day is Saturday, March 17^th (this Saturday!) from 11:00AM to 3:00PM at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Chapel Hill location only.

To better serve our members, each Clinic will be divided by age group. This will improve our coach to player ratio and provide better training for each child.

All Clinics will again be at Waterworks at the designated times for the age groups listed. Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled session will start with something to drink and an inflated soccer ball.

This  is the first step in becoming a soccer referee at any level, including  high school and college. This course is a combination of online learning  and testing, plus a 1-day in-person class that covers the more  complicated parts of officiating and clears up any mis-understandings  from the online part.  The total time required is about 8 hours online,  while the in-person class runs from 8am to 5pm with a break for lunch.   The candidate must successfully complete the online portion before  coming to the in-person class, and then must pass a test covering both  portions of the course.
Of course, there are also additional costs for uniforms and equipment which vary with the quality of the items purchased.

The CVSC (Cuyahoga Valley Soccer Cooperative) Spring Soccer Festival will be at Kent State University- Dix Stadium on Saturday, April 7th from 2-5pm.

There will be youth soccer clinics, coaches clinics, referee clinics, face painting, music and other fun activities.
