Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Club

Eric Ortopan, CFHS Boys Soccer Coach, will be conducting a Summer Soccer Camp with some of the top soccer coaches in the area.  This Soccer Camp will be geared toward boys and girls age groups U10 through U14.

Key instruction points:
o Individual / Team Defending
o Attacking / Finishing
o Passing and Receiving
o Foot skills development
o Creating Space / Team Play

The camp will run from June 17th to 21st at Laybourne Soccer Field behind Bolich Middle School.

Cost is only $60 and includes a T-shirt.  Registration deadline is May 24th.

Starting this Tuesday, any U10 and older players are invited to the Goalie Clinic at 5:30pm Waterworks to learn proper body placement receiving the ball, how to safely challenge a play and proper technique to return the ball into play.   In other words, how to be a great goalie!!

Eric Ortopan, currently the Cuyahoga Falls High School Boys Soccer Coach, will be conducting the Goalie Clinics for the Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Club.

Please bring some water to drink, a ball and be ready to have fun!!

The Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Club will again sponsor FREE Footskills Clinics at Waterworks Park every Wednesday for the Spring soccer session.

The clinics will be held at Waterworks Park starting at 5:30pm and continuing to 8:30pm.

To better serve our players and maintain the best quality training, we plan to split the sessions into age appropriate groups.

5:30-6:30pm  U8 Players
6:30-7:30pm  U10 Players
7:30-8:30pm  GAASA Players

We intend to build on the footskills learned every week, so expect something different at every session.

Please bring a ball and something to drink.

We understand schedules may not allow attendance at the designated times.  Please join any session or time available, but remember some techniques may be difficult for younger players or repetitive for older players if not in their age group.

Concussion Guidelines

To protect youth athletes, the State of Ohio has passed a concussion law, Bill 143. This bill is also known as  the “Return to Play” law. This law, similar to the laws enacted in most other states, enforces training, safety, and awareness requirements on youth sports organizations, such as OYSAN, and its leagues, tournaments, coaches, referees, officials, and athletes and their families.

All CFSC coaches and referees are required to comply with concussion training requirements.

The Cuyahoga Falls Soccer Club is looking for referees for our In-House U-8 and U-10 soccer games this spring. The first 20 applicants for this training session will be accepted.

Anyone 14 years old or older by this April or older should attend this class. If you are 14 years old before the spring soccer season starts, you can referee the spring games. If you turn 14 before August 1st you can do the games in the fall.

Where: Quirk Cultural Center Date: Saturday, February 23, 2013
Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm (Possible earlier end time if class gets finished. Bring cell phone if you need a ride.)
Class Limit: 20 people
Bring Pencil and paper.

U-10 and U-8 coaches are invited to attend to learn more about our In-House rules. Please email if interested in attending.
